Hi! I’m a photographer based in Lausanne, Switzerland. My interest in photography started when I was around 14 years old, developing black and white photos with my dad in the darkroom of my childhood home, and taking snaps on my first little Brownie camera.
Since then I’ve pretty much been obsessed with taking pictures. The 77,000+ photos on my computer can attest to that (and that is even before I launched Jen’s Lens Photography in Switzerland)!
After a career in international public relations and communications spanning 25+ years and in several countries including the USA, Australia, and Switzerland, I decided to revisit this passion. With a pivot to photography.
For years I would joke with friends saying, “When I grow up I’m going to be a photographer, or at least try it out.” Well, I’ve been grown up for a while now, and was ready to make my passion a reality. And, that’s how my business Jen’s Lens Photography was born (after countless classes, shooting practice with my children and many willing friends, and helpful critiques).
I’ve been based in beautiful Lausanne, Switzerland for the past nearly 20 years. Prior to that I lived in Greece, Australia, Spain and the USA, where I’m from. My love of travel, meeting new people and exploring their cultures has also inspired my love of photography. I speak English, Spanish and conversational French.
Besides travelling, I love being outside — hiking in the mountains and walking along a beach. Downhill skiing and kayaking are my absolute joys. I also love cooking and hosting parties (if it’s a theme party, even better)!
I hope you enjoy my work!
